Located in Armadale, Albert’s is a busy and well established neighbourhood wine bar with a strong focus on seasonal produce, thoughtful cooking and great wine. Our regularly changing, European leaning menu is built around quality ingredients and confident, classic cooking.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves what they do and has a passion for restaurants and hospitality. Albert’s is a busy venue with a small, open kitchen, so we need someone who enjoys working in a close knit environment, is highly organised, prepared to work hard and happy to get stuck in wherever needed. Our chefs work in view of our guests, which is a big part of the Albert’s experience, so being clean, tidy and well-presented is particularly important.

About the role

Working closely with our Head Chef and the rest of the kitchen team, you’ll work across multiple sections and play an important role in the daily running of the kitchen.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and running your section to a consistently high standard, with the ability to work across multiple sections of the kitchen
• Producing dishes consistently and with strong attention to detail
• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and organisation within our small, open kitchen
• Working collaboratively with both the kitchen and front of house teams
• Contributing ideas and input as the menu evolves

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has at least 1–2 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role
• Is a confident and capable cook with strong fundamental techniques in European cooking
• Has a genuine interest in seasonal produce and simple, ingredient led food
• Enjoys working in a busy, small kitchen and as part of a close knit team
• Is highly organised, clean and efficient
• Is well-presented and comfortable working in an open kitchen in view of our guests
• Is reliable and punctual
• Communicates well and works collaboratively with others
• Can remain calm and consistent during busy services and isn’t afraid of hard work
• Has open availability across the week, including weekends
