Overview

Niji Sushi Bar Hurstville is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be punctual, reliable, and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team. You will have a sound understanding of OH&S procedures, the ability to maintain a clean and organised workstation, and the capacity to respond under pressure. This is a full-time position requiring outstanding multitasking skills, strong communication, and attention to detail in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications
Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised workstation at all times
Adhere to OH&S procedures and food safety standards
Work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
Respond effectively under pressure and adjust to fluctuating demand
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation

Requirements

Relevant Certificate IV and Diploma level qualifications
At least one year of full-time equivalent work experience as a Chef
Current working rights within Australia (no visa sponsorship available)
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Excellent multitasking and organisational skills
Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
