A busy Roadhouse/Motel located on the Nullarbor in Western Australia requires a cook/all rounder for 3-6 months of work minimum.
Shifts will be working in the Fuel Station and can involve short order cooking/kitchen hand duties and making dine in meals. A large part of the job can be making food for the Baine Marie each evening. The working pattern will be a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts. Duties may include, but are not limited to making toasted sandwiches and filling up the bain marie each morning, prepping food for the day ahead, making gravy, cooking off meat, and slicing meat etc.
The role can change, and you may need to move to a different work area as per business needs.
Applicants must have:
• Previous kitchen experience
• A strong work ethic
• The ability to work unsupervised and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and in high intensity situations
• Good Knowledge of Hygiene and Food Safety & food safety certificate to support this
Pay rate is 38.34 per hour on a flat rate. This is a great opportunity to save money.
On average there will be around 35 hours per week across 5 days. Days off will not be set and can change as per business needs.
