We’re a busy, local-favourite café in North Nowra looking for a friendly kitchen all‑rounder (NOT a fancy chef job). If you can cook the basics, stay organised and like a laugh while you work, you’ll fit right in. What you’ll be doing: - Cooking simple café food: brekkie, burgers, chips, toasties - Lots of prep: chopping, batch cooking, keeping the fridge stocked - Following our easy systems for stock and labelling - Jumping out front sometimes to take orders or run food - Keeping the kitchen clean, calm and organised during rushes What we’re like: - Fun, down-to-earth team, no egos - Super supportive, we train you on our menu and systems - Early starts, early finishes – your afternoons are free - Great locals, regulars and a really friendly vibe Who this suits: - Travellers with café/restaurant kitchen experience - People who can take instruction, use initiative and multitask - Calm under pressure, happy to help wherever needed - Reliable, positive and up for a bit of banter at work Details - Casual role, award rates (around 30/hr + super) - Mostly weekdays (roughly 6am - 2pm) with the occasional Saturday (7am - 11am) - Able to start soon, our current cook is heading home to Canada and of April!
