Our Finance professionals play a key role in guiding critical business decisions and cutting-edge solutions for the world's leading aerospace company. We are seeking a Payroll Officer to support our centralised payroll function and perform end-to-end payroll processing using both Aurion and Peoplesoft.
This role is based in Brisbane.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the running of end to end payroll, for 3,500+ across 6 entities in Australia and New Zealand.
- Action payroll activities and enquiries promptly and accurately such as new hires, changes in employment, child support, per diems etc.
- Assist with payroll processing, variance checks and reconciliation including peer checking across weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
- Administer setting up new superannuation funds and reconciliation of payments
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, awards, and statutory requirements
- Proactively identify opportunities to automate, streamline and simplify payroll processes
Experience/Qualifications
- Experience in payroll desirable, but not essential
- Experience in processing end to end pay, desirable
- Experience in Aurion or PeopleSoft, desirable
- Experience with EOFY payroll process, desirable
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving, strive for results and process improvement
- Strong excel skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
