Grounds Maintenance Worker

About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team based in Laverton. This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys physical work and takes pride in maintaining high presentation and safety standards.
This is an initial short-term contract through to 14 September 2026, with the potential for extension based on performance and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mowing and general turf maintenance
- Carry out brush cutting and hedging tasks
- Undertake hand weeding to maintain site presentation
- Remove branches and green waste as required
- Travel between Laverton and a nearby site (Point Cook) as needed
- Follow daily work schedules, operating both independently and within a team
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in brush cutting and hedging
- Valid driver's licence (required to operate company vehicles)
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory for site access/clearance)
- Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding role
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to manage early starts
- Willingness to undergo background checks
Experience operating mowers is preferred but not essential.
What's on Offer
- $34.76 per hour
- Monday to Friday schedule (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
- Company vehicle provided for on-site use and travel between locations
