We're on the lookout for a talented Content Writer and Journalist to join our team. We run a multicultural Lifestyle Magazine focussing on Indians and South-East Asians living in Australia. This role offers the chance to grow from casual to a regular columnist/journo for the right individual.
Your Role:
Research and craft engaging, culturally rich content that speaks to our diverse communities from the Indian subcontinent living in Australia.
Produce stories that resonate with Indians, Pakistanis, and Southeast Asians in Australia, ensuring they're compelling and relevant.
Adapt your articles for various platforms, including blogs, social media, and reels, to engage our readers.
Embrace proactive journalism, reaching out for comments and insights to enrich your stories.
Work closely with our editorial team to uphold the magazine's high standards and multicultural ethos.
Must-Haves:
At least 1-2 years living in Australia, with a deep appreciation of the local migrant culture
Proficiency in English and Hindi, plus other Indian languages, showing excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in journalism, backed by a portfolio of previous work and solid research skills.
OnGround reporting around a vast variety of topics
Great-to-Haves:
Video production skills to bolster our multimedia content.
Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse groups and people.
A history in journalism, particularly with published works, would be a significant plus.
