Start around 24 August – fixed term ending 13 October 2026 3 weeks paid on-the-job training (approx. 24 hours/week) + 4 weeks at least 32 hours/week 29/hour + superannuation + 500 completion bonus + at least 15 hours annual leave expected to accrue, with any unused annual leave paid out at the end of the fixed term. This is fixed-term part-time employment, not casual employment. We are a small food business in Brookvale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, with a small retail store and online order dispatch. We need a reliable customer service and dispatch all-rounder to cover a regular employee while they are on annual leave. This is not a kitchen or food-production role. The work includes customer service, online order processing, packing and dispatch, and general store duties. You will receive 3 weeks paid training and handover alongside the employee before they go on leave. Dates and hours: 24 August – 11 September: Mon to Wed, approx. 9am–5pm, around 24 hours per week. Some flexibility with training days/times may be possible, e.g. Thursday instead of Wednesday. 14 September – 13 October: Monday to Thursday, approx. 8:45am–5:15pm, at least 32 hours per week. Earlier starts are welcome. Availability through to store closing is essential. We are looking for someone who can commit to the full period through to 13 October and who is: punctual, dependable and friendly with customers comfortable using computers and learning online ordering systems able to work independently once trained and as part of a small team comfortable being on their feet for most of the day confident with written and spoken English Previous retail, customer service, e-commerce, order fulfilment or dispatch experience is useful, but reliability, attitude and ability to learn are more important. This role may particularly suit someone looking for a defined block of regular work before travelling, studying, starting another job or moving on to their next commitment.
