We’re looking for an ambitious and driven Sponsorship Sales Executive to join our Corporate Partnerships team and play a key role in growing the Sharks’ commercial partnerships.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of sport, brands and business, identifying new opportunities, building relationships and creating partnerships that deliver genuine value for both our sponsors and the Sharks.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Identifying and securing new sponsorship opportunities with leading brands
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Identify and target prospects based on strategic fit with the Sharks' objectives, audience and commercial objectives
- Building relationships with key decision-makers and turning prospects into long-term partners
- Creating tailored sponsorship proposals and pitches that deliver value for both the brand and the Sharks
- Leading negotiations and securing sponsorship agreements
- Staying across industry trends to uncover new and exciting commercial opportunities
- Attending all Sharks home games to network with prospective and existing sponsors
- Working with the wider Corporate team to deliver stand-out game day experiences and activations for sponsors
About You
We’re looking for a highly driven, commercially minded sales professional who thrives on winning new business, building relationships and turning opportunities into results.
To be successful, you’ll bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar sales role, ideally within sports sponsorship
- A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Confidence and resilience when prospecting for new business, including cold calling, networking and face-to-face meetings
- Strong negotiation skills and a sound understanding of the sponsorship landscape
- An established network of business, brand or industry contacts that you can leverage to generate new opportunities
- Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage with senior decision-makers
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and experience in contract negotiation and renewal processes
- CRM and database management experience
- A sales qualification will be highly regarded
