We are seeking a reliable and motivated couple who can confidently assist customers, manage stock, maintain high presentation standards, and thrive in a small team environment. A minimum six-month commitment is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to remote living. Immediate Start Pay Information: (Retail Award-Level 1) 34.76 per hour Monday-Friday + Penalty Rates Free shared house accommodation Electricity contribution of approximately 40 per week Travel assistance provided from Darwin return The Role Based within the community’s local store, this is a varied and hands-on position that plays an important role in supporting both locals and visitors. The successful couple will be involved in all aspects of day-to-day retail operations and customer service. Duties Include Providing friendly and professional customer service Cash handling and point-of-sale operations Replenishing shelves, fridges, and freezers Unloading cartons and pallets Stock rotation and receiving weekly deliveries Merchandising and display presentation General store cleaning and maintenance Assisting with stocktakes and ordering processes Supporting other operational duties as required Additional hours may be available assisting with housekeeping within the local motel Skills & Experience Required Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a similar role Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically capable of handling stock and manual tasks Forklift licence highly regarded Ability to commit to a minimum of six months Comfortable living and working in a remote community environment Additional Information Access is via an unsealed road from Darwin during the dry season Return airfares from Darwin provided Telstra is the only available mobile network This is an excellent opportunity for a couple seeking stable employment, attractive accommodation benefits, and the chance to become part of a close-knit coastal community while gaining valuable remote-area experience.
