THE ROLE You will be working across our café/takeaway and airport food outlet, preparing and serving a Western-style menu including: • Burgers • Fish & chips • Pizzas • Sandwiches, rolls and wraps • Breakfast and takeaway items • Milkshakes • Frappes • Smoothies • Espresso coffee and other beverages You will also assist with customer service, food preparation, cleaning, opening/closing duties and the general day-to-day operation of the stores. We are a small team, so we are looking for someone who is happy to get involved, learn different parts of the business and work hard when it gets busy. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Ideally, you will: • Have previous café, takeaway, fast-food or hospitality experience • Be confident with basic cooking and food preparation • Have good customer service skills • Be reliable, honest and punctual • Be clean, organised and able to maintain high food-safety standards • Be energetic and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Be willing to live and work in remote/regional WA • Be looking for substantial working hours rather than only a few shifts each week • Be willing to become part of a small team and stay for a reasonable period • Have any visa with work rights and currently onshore Barista experience is an advantage but is not essential if you are willing to learn. ACCOMMODATION Employer-provided staff accommodation is available only for female team members. Please note that the room currently available is shared with one existing female team member. Applicants should be comfortable with shared staff accommodation. HOURS This is a casual position with substantial hours available. Once you are properly trained and able to work independently, there is generally plenty of work available across our shopping centre and airport operations. Additional hours will depend on the roster, business requirements and applicable workplace and visa conditions.
