Support Defence capability through effective fleet management and transport governance.
We are seeking an organised and proactive Road Movements Officer (RMO) to support Defence transport operations at RAAF Williamtown. The Road Movements Officer is the Air Force equivalent of a Vehicle Fleet Manager (VFM) and plays a critical role in managing fleet assets, driver licensing, vehicle compliance and road transport governance across the base. Working closely with Defence personnel and stakeholders, you will help ensure Defence vehicles and operators remain safe, compliant and operationally ready.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage Defence vehicle fleet operations and asset compliance.
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance and inspections.
- Administer Defence driver licensing and vehicle operator requirements.
- Maintain fleet records, reporting and transport documentation.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Defence policies.
- Provide advice on vehicle fleet management and road transport governance.
- Liaise with Defence personnel and stakeholders to support operational requirements.
- Monitor fleet performance and assist with vehicle acquisition and disposal activities.
About You
- Experience in fleet management, transport, logistics or vehicle operations.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Ability to interpret policies and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
- Defence, transport or logistics experience highly regarded.
- Experience managing vehicle fleets or transport operations is desirable.
