We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with participants of various age groups to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans. You will assess participants' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance their functional independence. Your expertise in therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment will be crucial in helping patients overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess participants' strengths, limitations, and goals
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and participants' goals
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being
Utilize evidence-based techniques and modalities to enhance patients' functional abilities
Instruct patients and their families on therapeutic activities and home exercises
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and other relevant information in a timely and accurate manner
Stay updated with the latest advancements in occupational therapy practices and participate in professional development activities
Requirements:
Valid state license or eligibility to practice as an Occupational Therapist
Experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and occupational therapy principles
Ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and their families
Proficiency in using therapeutic equipment and adaptive devices
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
