Job Description
Working Hours: 38 hours per week (Full-Time)
Annual Leave: 4 weeks per year
Salary: $77,000 – $85,000 + Superannuation
Role Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate the overall daily operations of the retail store to ensure smooth workflow and achievement of business objectives.
Plan and control product range, stock levels, and service standards in line with customer demand and sales targets.
Develop and implement purchasing and inventory control procedures to maintain adequate stock levels and minimise losses.
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to negotiate orders, monitor deliveries, and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
Design and execute sales strategies, promotional activities, and merchandising plans to maximise store revenue and market presence.
Manage pricing of goods and services, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability margins.
Monitor and analyse sales performance, financial transactions, and operational costs, and prepare reports for business evaluation.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales data, and financial activities in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Oversee recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluation of retail staff to ensure effective workforce management.
Prepare staff rosters and allocate duties to ensure efficient staffing levels and optimal store coverage.
Ensure delivery of high-quality customer service, resolve escalated customer complaints, and provide product guidance.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, company policies, and relevant retail legislation.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in retail or supermarket management.
Relevant qualifications or equivalent practical experience in retail management.
Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities.
