Job Description
Working Hours: 38 Hours per week (Full-Time)
Annual Leave: 4 weeks per year
Salary: $77,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation
Role Responsibilities:
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency in food preparation and service.
Prepare and present high-quality café-style dishes in line with menu standards and customer expectations.
Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for seasonal offerings.
Supervise and support kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
Monitor stock levels, coordinate ordering, and manage inventory to minimise waste.
Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef or Cook in a café or restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
Good communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
