We are currently seeking experienced Chefs to join a large-scale catering operation located at Puckapunyal Military Base. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a structured, high‑volume environment with consistent hours and competitive pay.
About the Role
Working within a busy mess hall operation, you will support senior kitchen staff in delivering quality meals for a large number of personnel. This role requires flexibility across a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including early morning and afternoon/evening shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and function meals in a high‑volume environment
- Support Lead Chefs with daily kitchen operations across multiple facilities
- Operate large-volume commercial cooking equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion standards are consistently met
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with HACCP and food safety requirements
- Assist with buffet-style dinner service for up to 150 personnel
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a qualified Chef in a high-volume or commercial kitchen
- Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including 5:00am starts
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to pass a police check
- Reliable, team-focused, and able to work in a structured environment
- Available for an immediate start
