Graduate Technology Officer
QTAC is a not-for-profit organisation that provides and operates an equitable and centralised tertiary entrance system on behalf of our member and participating institutions to provide comprehensive information for prospective applicants. The institutions that participate in QTAC determine their own admission requirements and QTAC ensures that these admission rules and procedures are administered in a transparent, consistent and equitable manner.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this is an exciting and varied position that provides a combination of frontline service desk support to both internal and external stakeholders as well as providing support to QTAC's IT systems and services.

You will:
Maintain a detailed understanding of QTAC business operations, processes and systems
Gain experience working in a DevOps focused environment
Provide frontline IT support for internal and external stakeholders
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and perform installations
Log and manage requests and incidents
Monitor and undertake technology maintenance including installation and configuration of BAU software's, configure and maintain workstations and software, network patching and hardware maintenance
Maintain the IT storeroom
Build and maintain relationships with third party vendors
Maintain asset registers and stock levels for ICT equipment
Assist in creating and maintaining a knowledgebase of documentation for ICT issues and solutions
Create and disable AD accounts
Develop service desk documentation, user communications and training materials
Contribute to the establishment of lean software development processes
Participate in infrastructure project planning and execution
Undertake periods of on call and out of hours service as needed
Required Skills and Experience
You must have:
Attained or be studying towards a tertiary qualification in Information Technology
Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and Jira
Experience managing conflicting tasks in line with priorities and timelines
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to identify, communicate and implement improvements to service provision
This is a permanent position based in Milton, Qld.
