Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Systems Analyst to join our Sydney team.
About the Role
As a Systems Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders, business users, project teams, and technical specialists to analyse business requirements, evaluate existing systems, and develop technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and support organisational objectives.
You will play a key role in identifying system improvements, documenting requirements, supporting software implementations, and ensuring technology solutions align with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate, analyse, and document business processes, procedures, and workflows.
Consult with stakeholders to gather and define business and system requirements.
Analyse existing systems and recommend enhancements, upgrades, or new technology solutions.
Prepare functional specifications, process maps, workflow diagrams, and technical documentation.
Evaluate software solutions and assist with system selection and implementation projects.
Liaise with software developers, vendors, project managers, and business users throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments.
Support testing activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system validation, and issue resolution.
Assist with change management, training materials, and user documentation.
Monitor system performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure solutions comply with organisational policies, security standards, and business objectives.
Provide post-implementation support and performance reviews.
Skills and Experience
Essential
Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
Minimum 2 years relevant experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, ICT Consultant, or similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Experience producing process maps, business requirements documents, and functional specifications.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Desirable
Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, CRM platforms, ERP systems, or cloud-based business applications.
Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project environments.
Knowledge of data analysis, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms.
Business Analysis or Project Management certifications.
