Adventist Alpine Village is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Chef to join our team for the busy winter season in the beautiful Snowy Mountains.
Located just minutes from Jindabyne, Adventist Alpine Village hosts school camps, church groups, sporting groups, conferences, holiday camps and special events throughout the year. During winter, our kitchen becomes the heart of the village, providing quality meals for groups ranging from 30 to over 200 guests.
About the Role
Working alongside our Chef, you will help prepare and serve a wide range of meals and catering offerings, including:
Hot breakfasts
Morning and afternoon teas
Buffet and plated lunches
Packed lunches for snow groups
Evening meals
Special dietary meals and requirements
This is not a restaurant or à la carte environment. Instead, you'll be part of a team delivering efficient, high-quality catering for large groups while maintaining excellent food safety and presentation standards.
What We're Looking For
Previous kitchen, catering or hospitality experience
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Availability throughout the winter season
Chef qualifications are advantageous but not essential for the right applicant with relevant experience.
