As our operations expand, we are seeking an experienced and driven ICT Business Development Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to senior management, the ICT Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic client and partner relationships, and driving revenue growth across our ICT products and services. This is a key role for a commercially-minded professional with strong technical understanding and a proven track record in ICT sales, partnerships, or business development.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities within the ICT sector
Build, maintain and grow relationships with new and existing clients, vendors and strategic partners
Analyse market trends, competitor activity and client needs to identify growth opportunities and inform business strategy
Prepare and present proposals, tenders, pricing models and sales presentations to prospective clients
Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms of trade with clients and suppliers
Collaborate with technical, marketing and operations teams to ensure client solutions are fit-for-purpose and delivered on time
Monitor sales performance against targets and report on business development activity, pipeline and forecasts to senior management
Represent the company at industry events, conferences and networking functions to promote brand awareness and generate leads
Contribute to the development of the company's overall growth strategy, budgets and revenue targets
Ensure all business development activities comply with relevant legislation, company policy and industry standards
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
A relevant bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field is highly regarded (or equivalent relevant experience)
Demonstrated experience in a business development, sales or account management role within the ICT industry
Strong understanding of ICT products, services and current market trends
Proven ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies
Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities
High-level presentation, reporting and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet targets in a fast-paced environment
A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel locally as required
