Casual Receptionist/All Rounder – Backpacker Hostel, Brisbane The Mahony Group is seeking a casual receptionist for our hostel in Brisbane. If you’re a dynamic, energetic individual with a knack for multitasking and a passion for customer service, we’d love to hear from you! Casual base rate 33.85 per hour + appropriate penalties and loading What We’re Looking For: - Thinkers & Problem solvers - Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment. - A proactive, can-do attitude focused on keeping busy and improving processes. - Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour. - A willingness to assist with various tasks, from guest services to general cleaning. - Someone who wants to learn, progress and grow their career in the hospitality industry. Speaking another language is favourable but not required. Responsibilities: - Checking guests in and out efficiently and professionally. - Providing exceptional customer service, including resolving complaints. - Managing bookings, taking payments, and updating reservations. - Responding to guest inquiries via email. - Keeping communal areas clean, including kitchen cleaning. - Undertaking general cleaning tasks during quieter periods.
