Principal House Officers to join the
Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service, with appointments providing clinical services across
Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals.

As a Principal House Officer, you will work collaboratively with consultants, visiting specialists, nursing and allied health professionals to provide high-quality patient care across the health service.
The Role You will contribute to:
- The delivery of effective, efficient and equitable clinical services
- Assessment and management of hospital patients
- Working collaboratively with Consultants and Visiting Medical Specialists
- Multidisciplinary patient care
- Clinical handover and continuity of care
- Medical education and teaching
- Dissemination of clinical knowledge to medical, nursing and allied health staff
- Patient and family education
- Quality improvement and service development
The appointment will be with the
Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service, with clinical services provided across
Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals as required.

A Principal House Officer is a medical practitioner in their
third or subsequent year of practical experience following eligibility for full registration as a medical practitioner.
Remuneration & Benefits
Total remuneration package up to $177,295 per annum Including:
- Base salary $137,861 – $151,417 p.a.
- Employer superannuation contribution of up to 12.75%
- 17.5% annual leave loading
