We are looking for a friendly, hard working new team member to join our team in Newman. Red Sands is situated in the outback (Western Australia) - 1200kms north of Perth. Our hotel mainly caters to the mining industry. We have a Tavern, a Mess hall and 80 rooms onsite. CASUAL EMPLOYMENT - WA Hospitality Award rates [MA000009] Duties: • Maintain an efficient bar and stock room • Ensuring the bar is kept clean and tidy to a high standard • Knowledge of cocktails, beers, spirits, liqueurs, and wine • Ability to lift cases of wine/beer and be on your feet for 8+ hrs • Ability to follow strict RSA rules and all that come with the responsibility • Work calmly under pressure • Attention to detail • Take responsibility for own actions • Excellent customer service skills • Good communication skills – written and verbal • Good understanding of cash handling and till operation • Self-motivated Certificates: Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Food Safety Previous Bar experience required.
