About the Role:
MSS Security is currently seeking a Casual Security Officer to join our team at a corporate site located in Geelong. This dynamic role offers a blend of control room operations, roving duties, and concierge/front-of-house responsibilities.
This position attracts a Level 3 pay rate of $28.38 per hour, plus super and shift penalties where applicable.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage access control at the main entrance, ensuring only authorised staff, contractors, and visitors enter the site in line with security procedures
- Deliver front desk and concierge services including greeting visitors, verifying appointments, registering guests, issuing visitor passes, and directing them appropriately
- Operate within the Control Room, monitoring CCTV footage, responding to alarms, and managing the site’s access control system via Gallagher software
- Provide consistent, high-quality customer service at all times.
Requirements:
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Hold an NV1 Clearance or willing to obtain
- Valid Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Willingness to undergo a site-specific clearance pack and complete a police check
- Ability to work a 24/7 rotational roster
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within the security industry (preferred)
- Experience using Gallagher systems (desirable)
- Ability to work across control room, concierge, and roving duties
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
