Emergency Medicine Specialists and suitably qualified
Rural Generalists with advanced Emergency Medicine skills to join an established regional health service on Tasmania's spectacular coast.
With
salary packages of up to $550,000+, multiple permanent positions, flexible rostering and significant relocation support, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding specialist career while enjoying an exceptional Tasmanian lifestyle.
International Emergency Medicine Specialists who have completed the ACEM specialist assessment process with a Substantially Comparable outcome will be considered. The Opportunity Multiple
permanent full-time and part-time positions are available, with employment of up to
76 hours per fortnight, incorporating shift work and on-call participation.
You will work across
two well-supported Emergency Departments, approximately 50 kilometres apart, which together manage around
60,000 presentations each year.
The larger hospital serves as the region's
trauma centre and is supported by a comprehensive range of specialist services, including:
- General Medicine
- General Surgery
- Orthopaedics
- Paediatrics
- Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Intensive Care
- Mental Health
- 24-hour pathology
- 24-hour on-call radiology
- Virtual stroke telemedicine
Both Emergency Departments have structured medical workforces, with
Specialists, Registrars and Resident Medical Officers rostered on every shift.

Training & Accreditation The service has a strong commitment to medical education and training, with accreditation for:
- 24 months of ACEM Emergency Medicine training
- RACGP Advanced Skills Training in Emergency Medicine
- ACRRM Advanced Specialised Training in Emergency Medicine
- ACEM Associateship training at Foundational, Intermediate and Advanced levels
The departments support trainees across
ACEM, RACGP and ACRRM, with several
FACEM-accredited supervisors available across the service.

Essential Eligibility Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain,
