Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to take on a senior clinical leadership position as
Clinical Lead – Obstetrics & Gynaecology within a well-established regional health service in Tasmania.

Working alongside the
Clinical Director – Women’s & Children’s Services, you will provide clinical and strategic leadership across Obstetrics and Gynaecology while remaining actively involved in patient care.
The Role You will contribute to the ongoing development of a comprehensive regional Women's Health service, with responsibilities including:
- Providing senior specialist Obstetrics & Gynaecology services
- Providing clinical leadership across the O&G department
- Supporting workforce planning, recruitment and service development
- Mentoring and supervising junior doctors and specialist trainees
- Contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education
- Participating in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety
- Supporting the continued development of maternity and gynaecological services
- Working collaboratively with medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health teams
- Participating in an approximately 1:5 after-hours on-call roster
The O&G Service The established service provides an excellent range of clinical and procedural opportunities, including:
- Approximately 1,000 births annually
- Level 4 maternity service
- Level 4 neonatal service

Remuneration & Benefits An exceptional remuneration package is available, with total remuneration of up to
$671,153 p.a. + 12% superannuation, depending on experience and eligibility.

About You We are seeking an experienced Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with:
- Specialist qualifications in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Broad contemporary O&G experience
- Strong clinical and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- An interest in clinical leadership and service development
- Commitment to teaching and medical education
- Specialist registration with AHPRA, or eligibility to obtain specialist registration
International Specialists Welcome Applications from suitably qualified
International Medical Graduates are encouraged.
