We display thousands of street 'pole' posters every week for festivals, concerts and venues. Our distributors are at the heart of what we do - making sure pole posters are displayed professionally and reliably across Sydney.
We are looking for a reliable, healthy and safety-conscious person to join our team to display/affix Pole Posters to Electricity (telegraph) Poles - primarily in the East & Inner West. Potentially Homebush, Lidcombe, Auburn, Parra also.
Summary Job Desc
This is outdoor, physical work that involves walking briskly, carrying supplied materials, and safely attaching 100s of posters to electricity and light poles along set routes “runs” - follow supplied Run Map.
*It is not hard but it is potentially dangerous - working roadside - no buds, cans or drugs.
*We provide services to most major tour promoters - we're professional, fair, reliable.
*After 7 - 10 days we carefully reposter over (cover) every previous poster.
*Every poster viewable from traffic; straight and wrinkle free (ironed on).
*Tape (7x) around + vertical. Photographed & uploaded.
*Flexible hours, work independently - have agency.
Requirements
* Able-bodied with good mobility, vision, and hearing.
* Self-discipline and reliability - mimimum 12 hours per week.
* Fluent spoken English (for occasional interactions with the public or police).
* Brisk walking pace and ability to meet quality & quantity expectations (50 posters per hour after 2 weeks - 25 poles, x2 on most).
* ebike highly desirable (greatly reduce travel time to runs). Possibly share cost, 30ea pw.
Pay & Conditions
* 38 per hour + 12% superannuation.
* Award-free casual position (Fair Work minimum standards apply).
* Paid from the first to last poster, additional travel pay negotiated if travel time >25min.
* Training/trial run (90 minutes) is unpaid. On payroll thereafter. Casual employment.
* Paid weekly to your account, payslip emailed (Tues). No cash.
Important Notes
* Police occassionally issue warnings. Yes Sir No Sir 3 bags full Sir. GTG.
* Posters are considered “tolerated” rather than 'legal' - no fines in 3 years (we'd pay anyway).
* Safety is our #1 priority: you must work sober, alert. Respect the public and state authorities.
