About the Role
MSS Security is seeking a Full-Time Relief Security Officer to join our team in the Newcastle region. This is a patrolling-focused role supporting multiple sites, requiring full availability across a 24/7 rotating roster, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
This position offers a competitive rate of $28.38 per hour + superannuation + applicable shift loadings. Due to the relief nature of the role, flexibility and reliability are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Conducting mobile and foot patrols across assigned sites
Monitoring and responding to security and safety risks
Providing a high level of customer service and professional presence
Responding to incidents and alarms as required
Monitoring CCTV systems
Completing accurate reports, logs, and records
Onsite risk mitigation and incident management
Maintaining compliance with site and client procedures
Skills and Qualifications
Certificate II in Security Operations
Valid NSW Security Licence
Current First Aid Certificate
Professional presentation, punctuality, and reliability
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Full availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster
