Lifeguard - HMAS Cerberus (Casual)
We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Lifeguard to support the operations of a busy aquatic and fitness facility. This role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, maintains high attention to detail, and is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all users.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine pool water testing and ensure chemical levels meet required standards
Supervise pool users and provide assistance when needed
Maintain cleanliness of aquatic areas, including sauna, pool deck, and equipment during closure periods
Assist customers with basic gym equipment setup when required
Operate pool vacuum and support general upkeep of all aquatic facilities
Skills & Experience
Minimum 6 months experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant
Strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and customer service
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Professional, reliable, and able to follow established procedures
Role Requirements
Australian Citizen
Valid First Aid Certificate
Working With Children Check
Aquatic Pool Lifeguard Certificate
Current National Police Check (within 30 days) or willingness to obtain
Reliable transport to and from HMAS Cerberus
Flexibility to work a varying roster, with shifts ranging from 1 to 5 per week
