Role: Warehouse Stores Officer - Parts & Materials
About the Role
Our client is a leading provider of rail services in Australia, delivering essential maintenance, operations, and management solutions across major transport networks. They are currently seeking a reliable and detail oriented Warehouse Stores Person to manage parts and materials that support warehouse delivery requirements and ensure efficient day to day operations.
This role is critical in maintaining accurate tracking, coordination, and the timely movement of supplies to support the New Fleet program. Working closely with warehouse teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will contribute to seamless operations, strong interdepartmental relationships, and ongoing compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the efficient movement of parts and materials within the warehouse
- Maintain accurate records of parts and supplies, including tracking movements to and from suppliers
- Coordinate with internal departments to meet delivery and operational requirements
- Support warehouse operations within a fast paced environment
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards and actively promote a safe working environment
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a proactive approach and strong attention to detail, along with the following:
- Valid driver's licence and current forklift licence (essential)
- Previous experience in a fast paced warehouse or stores environment (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with sound numeracy and literacy
- Working knowledge of SAP systems
- A customer-focused mindset with a high level of accuracy
- RIW card desirable but not essential
